The map shown below shows the primary area of interest for any position I might be interested in, with coloured zones indicating the rank of zones according to estimated commute time, congestion etc. - yellow zones are best, then lighter yellow, then pale green, then white. Traffic is a particular problem approaching the A40, M4, and M25 so any route that avoids those roads is preferable.
